According to the Inheritance Code, the co-owner of the deceased's estate who is in charge of the estate must immediately inform the other co-owners of the deceased's death. In addition, it is also a good idea to inform friends and colleagues of the deceased.
Next, you should:
1. Terminate agreements, subscriptions and memberships
2. Terminate direct debit and standing transfers
3. Hire a funeral director
4. Review mail handling
5. Review the insurance holdings
6. Arrange the practical things - Shred ID documents, arrange new homes for any pets, and more.
The Tax Agency automatically informs authorities within the state, municipality and county council about deaths, so you don't have to worry about these.
Since March 15, 2012, Sweden's Riksdag decided that the time between death and burial or cremation may not exceed one month. If you need more time for any reason, or if the time has been exceeded, you can apply for a deferral at the Tax Agency

In the event that money is missing from the estate or elsewhere, it is possible to apply for assistance from the social welfare office in the deceased's municipality. The possibility of receiving the financial help exists if the estate completely or partially lacks assets to cover the costs of what the National Board of Health and Welfare calls a dignified funeral.
